OurGuest Inn & Suites Downtown Port Clinton

Stayed just 1 night on our way back from Michigan and was pleasantly surprised. Clean spacious rooms, excellent location and the staff was very helpful for the few questions we had.

Great place to stay. Very clean, comfortable bed, and fantastic location.

The room was so nice and clean. We had to cancel our room in another hotel and thankfully our guest had a room for us. They truly saved our anniversary trip. we will for sure be back.

The good: Location near the lighthouse and beachfront lake, room was clean,spacious and comfortable, Wendy's next door that saved us( because the inn didn't have breakfast).Katie, the hotel attendant was very nice and helpful. All kind of baked goodies and snacks available(to buy) in front lobby for late night cravings and most of the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The bad: I prepaid online through booking.com only to have to the hotel charge me a second time. Gina could only explain that booking had sent them a virtual card which somehow didn't cancel out them charging my card. She did put the charge back on my card but I had already accrued 2 overdraft fees( unknowingly because the funds of the room had been taken) and was out the amount of my whole stay without any compensation or accomodation for my inconvenience. Gina just gave me a nonchalant "sorry" and then when I asked when could I expect the credit,I received sarcasm and I quote "well, I did just put it in at 8:52 and that would depend on your bank". I understand mistakes happen but to not have any regard to try to make it good on the hotel's end just did not sit well with me and would make me think 2 or 3 times before staying again. Thankfully I finally received my money back.Also, if you are looking for a newer property with modern ammenties, this is not the place for you. It is a very colonial type vibe. Clean but very traditional.

Very cute place! Thr rooms are dated, but I'm sure that was the theme. I was there with my husband and some friends for one night, and it was perfect for that short trip! The pool area is cute! It's not deep, and although we had to skim the water to get rid of the leaves in there ourselves, it wasn't terrible. It was still clean. The beds were comfortable enough for just one night. The only thing I'd say that I didn't enjoy was the musky smell in our bathroom. That may have been because the whole room was carpeted, and the hot showers could do that to the carpet throughout the years, but the bathroom wasn't carpeted. Speaking of showers, their water gets REALLY hot when you shower. So be careful with that. Other than that, the location was perfect! Parking wasn't spacious, but there was more parking in the rear. The ferry to the island was walking distance. Bars across the way. Beach up the street. Staffs were very nice!

We come to Put-in-bay once a year and ALWAYS stay here! We love the fact that you can just walk down the street and catch the ferry! Everyone is always so kind. The pool area is so nice to sit and relax. There are many bars and restaurants close and within walking distance. The rooms are a little dated but worked just fine for what we needed, if that's not an issue this is the perfect place to stay!!

Comfortable beds! Roomy in room hot tub for 2. I loved the pool. Staff is super friendly and helpful!! We will be staying here again!! 10/10 recommend!

The price was awesome! Every person that I spoke with was super friendly, even the housekeeping person. They had coffee in the morning and even a refrigerator with drinks at a reasonable price. We stayed in the main building where the reception desk is. The interior of the hotel is vintage and well decorated. All the hallways were painted a pinkish color. Our room was clean and well accommodating. The only criticism I have is both queen beds were a bit worn. You could spend an extra hundred dollars per night and get a nicer bed. We were able to walk downtown to the restaurants for dinner. Everything there is close.
